Pulp & Paper
In the pulp & paper industry, colour measuring instruments are used to control and monitor the production process from raw and recycled materials to the whiteness and colour of papers. Measurement geometry d:0° (as defined by ISO 2469 or 2470) or d:8° are commonly used. A large number of equations are used to define paper whiteness, fluorescence, tint as well as opacity and transparency.
Although using a different geometry, the new Spectrodensitometers FD-5 and FD-7 enable easy and fast measurements of colour, whiteness, brightness and fluorescence outside a laboratory.
