CR-410C

The large aperture CR-410 with specially modified firmware and purpose designed sample holder is used to provide colour measurements of coffee at all stages of the production process using industry standard measurements.

  • Ø 50mm measurement aperture
  • Sample holder jig
  • SCAA index data for coffee products
  • Portable

Customised CR-410 tristimulus colorimeter specifically for measuring the colour and quality of coffee throughout production

The CR-410C handheld coffee colorimeter is specifically designed to measure the colour of whole green beans, roasted beans, and roasted coffee using industry standard measurements.

The CR-410C is a tristimulus colorimeter that measures colour using filters with a close match to the spectral sensitivity function of the human eye. Using this technology, operators can achieve traceable measurement data for colour and colour difference that correlates with human perception.

The device firmware contains the Speciality Coffee Association of Americas (SCAA) Speciality coffee index to quickly, simply and repeatably calculate the colour difference from a standard, roast level (light, medium, medium dark, dark) and pass/fail tolerances.

Utilising this cost effective and portable setup, the operator can accurately measure the colour of coffee in various forms: whole green beans, roasted beans, roasted and lyophilized (Freeze Dried).
