basICColor Catch – The most versatile ColourHub for your daily colour business

Konica Minolta Sensing Europe B.V. is pleased to announce the availability of basICColor Catch 4 software suite. The modular solution incorporates the most versatile measurement application “Catch” as its colour hub. The seamless integration of Catch 4 with the award winning Konica Minolta FD series spectrophotometers incorporating its unique patented Virtual Fluorescence Standard, is now available for users in their daily colour management. The new measurement modes M0 (legacy compatibility), M1 (D50) and M2 (UV-Cut) can be obtained with a single scan measurement. Numerous additional light sources enable new opportunities to match colours under different illuminants.
Self-measured viewing environments can be captured with the FD-7s light measurement capabilities. This means “measure-as-you-see". Proof to-Print-Match for papers containing optical brighteners has finally become a reality.

Catch basic version is shipped with every FD-7. It also drives the ColorScout A+, a xy table for automatic measurement sequences. The module Catch QC enables intuitive colour quality control. Prints can be checked easily according to standards such as PSO and also the new Fogra PSD®. In addition it offers statistical analysis of measurements to control machine performance over time
or a print-run.

Catch Pro version adds high-end ICC profiling with one click. The integration of intelligent data analysis ensures perfect profile quality even for measurement on critical papers such as uncoated quality or scratched test charts.
The full software suite Catch Print Pro allows professional users to influence separation and gamut mapping strategies during profiling.

Spot colour separations can be optimized for close colour matches in 4-colour processes. The production time of machines can be optimized by the integrated profile iteration tool. Normal Mediawedge QC measurements can be used to get the machine back into the tolerance range without additional work.
