Konica Minolta Sensing Europe, announce the introduction of the ColorScoutA3+, for the automatic measurement of color charts using the Spectrodensitometer FD-7 or FD-5
Mounting a Konica Minolta Spectrodensitometer FD-7 or FD-5 on the XY Automatic Color-Measurement Stage ColorScoutA3+ allows measurement of color charts for print profiling control to be taken automatically and efficiently.
The ColorScoutA3+ enables automatic positioning and control of the measurement of color charts. This provides higher repeatability and eliminates the repetitive and tedious labor associated with manual measurements.
Using the ColorScoutA3+ makes it easier to measure colorimetric data of color charts under ISO 13655 Measurement Condition M1. Measurement Condition M1 colorimetric data can be used to create color profiles that match visual evaluation more closely than can be achieved with conventional instruments.
Even large color charts can be measured in a single procedure without the need to cut up or tile the charts. This improves measurement efficiency. The stage table is available with either a white or black surface.
The ColorChart software, which is included, is used to set the color chart definitions that determine where to position the instrument and which color patches to measure. It includes definitions for many standard color charts, and can also be used to create a definition file for measuring user-designed charts.
