Fogra benefits from fully automated accurate colour measurements with Konica Minolta FD-9

Nieuwegein, April 14th 2016

Konica Minolta recently introduced the Autoscanning Spectrophotometer FD-9. Its accuracy, flexibility and speed is already appreciated by numerous users in the printing industry.

With the availability of the optional Auto-Sheet-Feeder (ASF) Konica Minolta now enables full automation of colour measurements. The renown Fogra Graphic Technology Research Institute, Munich, now also benefits from this innovative colour measurement system. Beginning of April it was installed in the prepress department. It will be used for research projects and certifications of Contract Proofs (ISO 12647-7), Validation Prints (ISO 12647-8) and digital production prints according to Fogra ProcessStandard Digital Printing PSD®.
"For PSD we need to check the print run stability by measuring countless prints. The FD-9 with ASF allows us to simplify and streamline this process substantially without loosing accuracy.", says Dr. Andreas Kraushaar, head of prepress department at Fogra.

The FD-9 and the ASF are available immediately and will of course be shown at drupa in Hall 7A, Booth No. F20.
